About Bath Self Catering

We are a group of local holiday rental owners, who love the area we live in and want our guests to enjoy staying in our beautiful region as much as we enjoy living here!

What are our properties like?

What sort of holiday rental are you looking for? Whatever it is, the chances are you will find it on our site! All our members’ properties are 4 or 5 star standard but look through our site and you will find.

  • Chic city centre apartments
  • Georgian townhouses
  • Cosy country cottages
  • Spacious rural houses
  • Converted farm buildings

Visiting as a couple? With your family? Or maybe with a group?

We have properties of all sizes, from elegant apartments ideal for a romantic weekend for two, to large homes where groups can relax in their own space.

Town or country?

We have properties in the heart of Bath if you want the attractions of our beautiful World Heritage City on your doorstep but we also have lovely rural homes where you can enjoy the calm and beauty of the West Country whilst still being within easy reach of Bath for the occasional visit.

Our properties are in Bath, Somerset, Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire.

No Booking Fees

Book through this site or direct with the owner and you will NOT pay any booking fees.

Time-Saving Referral Service

You can reach us all with one message. If your first choice property isn’t available for your dates, we will send a request out to all our members for you (with your permission, of course) and anyone with suitable availability will contact you directly.

Why book with Bath Self Catering?

We have lots of variety but also some very important things in common.

  • All our properties have been inspected – either by Quality in Tourism (for Visit England), the AA or by a BASCA committee member. There are no fakes on our website!
  • We believe in high standards. Our properties range from rustic country cottages to luxurious city centre apartments with many variations in between but you can be sure that every owner aims high and tries his or her very best to be the top of their class.
  • We all meet regularly to exchange ideas and experiences, as we all aim to keep improving.  None of our members are anonymous!
  • Bath Self Catering is a local association of holiday home owners. If you stay in one of our properties, you know that the property owner actually lives in the area – maybe not in the same building/estate but certainly within a very short drive of where you are enjoying your holiday.
  • All our owners manage their own properties. Many of us have trusted and reliable people helping us (for example with cleaning) but no Bath Self Catering property is run by an agency.
  • Our Referral Service.
  • No booking fees!
