Whitley Old Garage is a former large double garage to a Georgian house built in 1808, converted to luxurious cosy holiday accommodation in 2019/2020. It includes a two seater sofa in the kitchen/living room with a view of the entrance with its tree seat and large rose bed behind. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, cooker with four halogen rings and most things you would expect at home. The table can be used to work at or relaxed eating with very comfortable modern chairs.
Their are two Samsung 43″ HDR 4K Ultra HD smart TV’S on in the bedroom and one in the kitchen/living room with TV plus/Freestat HD, Apple TV and most apps – although you can bring your own Fire TV stick or equivalent to plug into either TV.

Whitley Old Garage self-catering accommodation/holiday rental has a cosy bedroom with a super king-size (5ft 6ins x 6ft 6ins) bed with a supremely comfortable Vi-Spring handmade pocket sprung mattress. The living room/kitchen/dinner/office area  is extremely cosy with a two seater sofa.

We also have another property Whitley Coach House, if it is free it can accommodate upto 5 more adults.

The Space

Whitley Old Garage is a detached former garage, renovated and converted in 2019/20 providing cosy/snug self-catering accommodation. Whitley Old Garage bedroom has  a supremely comfortable handmade Vi-Spring pocket sprung mattress. The kitchen/living room has views onto the beautiful gravel driveway with a central tree with a teak seat around it and a scented rose flowerbed behind.

This self-catering accommodation has fast broadband, two 43 inch smart TV’s with Freeview channels, one in the bedroom the other in the kitchen/living room. Also the ability to watch other online services like Netflix, if you have an account.

Guest Access

There is plenty of private parking.

Whitley Old Garage self-catering accommodation is not adapted for wheelchair users but has a step up into the property on entry. Once inside there are no steps, it is all on one level which is great for those having problems with steps and has a walk in shower.

Interaction with Guests

Your host will normally hand you the keys and discuss Whitley Old Garage and the surrounding area with you on arrival, if you wish. Unless of course you need further help you will be left alone to enjoy your stay.

In a beautiful semi-rural location within striking distance of many fantastic places to explore including the Georgian City of Bath, the picturesque National Trust village of Lacock and Bowood House, with its Championship Golf Course and Spa and children's adventure playground.

Has a supremely comfortable kingsize Vi-Spring pocket sprung bed sitting on sprung divans. So the ultimate in bed sleeping comfort. For 2 or 1.

The kitchen has most of the things you would expect at home including a Kenwood mixer in case you wish to really spend time cooking whilst staying in Whitley Old Garage. Or go to or come back from the local pub with a take-away. You do not need any equipment from home including a fully integrated dishwasher, a small microwave, a fridge with small freezer, a freestanding top of the range induction Smeg 600mm wide hob stove with ducted extractor, one and a half integrated sinks in the Carrara Mable style minerva tops. Plates, cutlery, sauce pans etc all in the drawers and cupboards.

The bedroom and the kitchen/living room have 42" Samsung televisions on the walls with apps to watch most things including Apple. What most people do is bring devices such as an Amazon fire stick with their accounts on so they can use them immediately (without the setting up hassle or needing to delete them afterwards). There are also the many Freeview channels on both televisions. Also please ask if you would like to use our Ping-pong table, which lives outside and is on wheels.

We supply most of the things you would expect if you were at home. Thick cotton towels are provided for each guest and Egyptian cotton sheets. There is a washer/dryer, ironing board, iron, hairdryer, long mirror, hot water bottles – if in doubt please ask.

We have extensive private free parking in the property.

This property is completely NON-SMOKING including the grounds. If you wish to smoke, please book somewhere else.

No children are accepted in Whitley Old Garage - please do book our other property Whitley Coach House if you wish bring children. Or do book both at the same time.

Well behaved and friendly dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. Charges & Ts and Cs apply.

Whitley Old Garage is a 5 minute walk away from Whitley 9 hole Golf Club and driving range that welcomes everyone from complete beginners to more experienced golfers. Also there lots of great public footpaths nearby.
