The Malthouse Somerset offers a total of seven beautifully appointed bedrooms, spread across two floors and one on the ground floor. Some of the beds can be split into singles, allowing 8 singles and 3 double bedrooms.

The property offers four beautifully restored bathrooms, each combining modern comfort with charming original features. On the ground floor, the bathroom is primarily used by the adjacent bedroom. Upstairs, two spacious and light-filled bathrooms. The central bathroom includes both a double walk-in shower and a bath. A turret staircase leads to the fourth bathroom, which features a bath with an overhead hand shower.

Complete with a working stone fireplace for cosy gatherings. The large pine dining table seats up to 14 guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with a double range oven and gas hob. Heavy curtains provide privacy at the entrance, while original beams throughout add warmth, character, and a true sense of charm to this welcoming space.

Relax and unwind with a 55-inch Smart TV (with aerial), a variety of games, and premium Bose Bluetooth speakers. There’s also a great selection of books to enjoy, plus outdoor table tennis for fun in the open air.

The Malthouse features a spacious courtyard and a large, south-west facing garden. Guests can enjoy al fresco dining and barbecues with ample outdoor seating, including tables, benches, and a sofa, plus blankets for relaxing on the lawn. A lavender-lined path and seasonal planting add colour and fragrance, creating a warm, relaxed, almost Mediterranean feel on sunny days.

Due to the age of this 15th-century building, there is no wheelchair access. Cobbled areas may be slippery when wet. Please take care when moving around, as there are low doorways and occasional steps. Slippers are recommended indoors for comfort. All adds to the character of the building!

Private parking is available until the summer months, after which guests will need to use on-street parking. We have not experienced any issues with parking in the area. A local area map will be sent ahead of your stay for convenience.

No smoking inside please

Two cots and high chairs are provided for guests with young children. Please note that guests should bring their own cot bedding.

Up to 3 pets are welcome at The Malthouse. A small fee of £45 per pet applies.
