Courtyard Cottage – Sleeps a total of 4, with 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs. Both bedrooms can be made up with a super king bed or two single beds in large rooms with plenty of storage space. Upstairs has the ensuite bathroom with bath and shower over. Downstairs is an ensuite shower.

​It’s a fully self-contained apartment having a spacious well equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Large sitting area with corner sofa and armchairs, smart TV and electric log burner. There’s a dining area that seats up to 6. Spacious light and airy looking over the valley.

Downstairs there’s a sitting area with bistro table. Smart TV. Separate lobby entrance for outdoor clothes.

Utility area with washer / dryer and Belfast sink.

The land surrounding the farm is rich in history and situated near the historic village of Mells, 13 miles from the Roman city of Bath and close to Babington House.

The farm compromises of 55 acres of land, including a 6-acre wood, which is a nature conservation area and preservation area for birds of prey. Nature, the woods and the sounds of the birds will make you stop in your tracks and feel the magic around. It’s perfect for families, couples and groups of people who want to come to a place where you can have a moment to be yourself again.

There are two small lakes with damsel flies and dragonflies, one with a beach with logs and rocks to sit on that also harbours a large number of newts and the other one which is near an old stone bridge that leads you on to the old drovers way. You’ll find a flock of North Ronaldsay rare breed sheep, pygmy goats, various ducks which live in their own castle, many varieties of hens and other wildlife.

Grasses and wildflowers are abundant in summer, bluebells and wild garlic in spring and numerous fungi in autumn. Winter frosts leave an enchanting feel to treasure when you’re all wrapped up and can come back to a warm fire.

The market town of Frome with its numerous cafes and restaurants is a short drive away. There are farm shops within easy reach. Historic Nunney Castle is just round the corner and Longleat Adventure and Safari park is within a 20-minute drive. Cheddar Gorge with its breath-taking scenery and walks is a similar distance away and Wookey Hole another place to visit.
