Historical Guided Tour of Fairfield House, the home of Emperor Haile Selassie

In a new endeavour by the Fairfield House Community Interest Company, Fairfield House is now open to visitors by historical guided tour on Sundays throughout the year. During the tour experience, visitors will learn about His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I, His family, and the other Ethiopians that once lived at Fairfield, and their tireless fight against fascism during WW2. The latest research about each area of the house is presented and is accompanied by a performance of the Emperor’s pianola. After the tour, visitors will have time to enjoy the exhibitions and special features of the house and grounds, such as the new Kidane Meheret Prayer room, Sacred Garden, Tafari Gallery, and more. An authentic Caribbean lunch is also available for visitors.

Tours are at 12.00 pm and 1.30 pm
