The Reading Room is a 200 year old converted chapel which offers luxury accommodation in Broughton Gifford which is in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside.

The interior space comprises of an open plan living area with a top of the range wood burning stove, exposed beams, a traditional handmade Chesterfield sofa and lots of very comfortable stylish furnishings.
A separate galley kitchen with granite work surfaces and all the mod cons leading onto a decked courtyard style garden.

Upstairs on the mezzanine floor is the bedroom with a king size Hypnos bed, luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen and an en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower and a natural stone finish.

Other features include a flat screen TV, DVD player, iPod docking station & Wifi.

Location

The Reading Room is situated in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside just a few miles outside of the historic city of Bath.

Bedrooms

The bedroom is located on the mezzanine floor overlooking the main living area. It has a king size Hypnos bed with Egyptian cotton bed linen, bed side tables, a built in wardrobe, a dressing table and a TV.

Bathrooms

The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom and comprises of a large walk in shower, a natural stone sink, WC and floor to ceiling travertine tiles. There is complimentary Molton Brown hand wash, hand cream and shower gel.

Kitchen

A galley style kitchen with granite work surfaces, fridge/freezer, 5 ring gas hob/electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, coffee machine, temperature controlled kettle & toaster.

Entertainment

There are TV’s in the living area and the bedroom, DVD player, iPod docking station & Wifi.

Outside

There is a small decked courtyard style garden to the back of the property. There is also table and chairs and a BBQ.

General Points

Central heating, electric, Wifi and linen/towels all included. There is also a wood burning stove with logs included.

Parking Arrangements

There is off road parking at the side of the property for 1 car.

Smoking

There is a strict NO SMOKING policy at The Reading Room. Please also remove all shoes at the door. Thank you

Train Station

The nearest railway stations are; Melksham (2.3 Miles), Bradford-on Avon (4.2 Miles), Trowbridge (5.1 Miles), Chippenham (9.2 Miles), Bath (10.7 Miles) & Westbury (11.4 Miles).

Airports

The nearest airport is Bristol and is approximately 30 miles away.

Food Stores

There are various supermarkets in Melksham which is the nearest town and is approximately 2 miles away.

Local Pub / Restaurant

The Reading Room is just 50 Yards from "The Bell" pub which over looks the beautiful Broughton Gifford Common. Great food and local ales.

Points of Interest

The Reading Room is within easy reach of the historical city of Bath, the Saxon town of Bradford-on-Avon and is surrounded by several National Trust properties including Great Chalfield Manor and gardens, Lacock Abbey and Fox Talbot Museum and The Courts garden.

Low Season

November, December, January, February and March (excluding bank holiday weeks) - £525

Mid Season

April, May, September and October (excluding bank holiday weeks) - £725

High Season

June, July, August and any bank holiday weeks - £895

Short Breaks

Short term breaks are available upon request.

General Rental Information

Check in is from 4pm, departure before 11am. Payment is by bank transfer.

A 25% deposit is payable on booking with the outstanding balance due no later than 6 weeks prior to the arrival date.
