Friary Coach House lies in the historic hamlet of Friary, the site of a former monastery. This tiny estate has a rare breed farm, including miniature ponies, and guests of Friary Coach House are invited to fish on the banks of the River Frome where there is a licence for 4 rods.

Ideally suited for a couple, we can also sleep up to 3 children in a single bed, double sofa bed or cot. We stock your fridge with breakfast for the first morning so that you will not have to bring shopping with you.

The accommodation is 5-star AA rated. The kitchen has all modern appliances and is fully fitted with washing machine/drier, fridge/freezer and oven/hob/microwave. The open plan reception room has TV, DVD, and Sony sound system as well as comfortable sofas and a dining table for 6. There is a BBQ terrace for Summer dining al fresco.

The walks and bridle ways in the area are superb and there is much of historical interest locally including Farleigh Hungerford Castle, The Kennet & Avon Canal (with bikes and barges for hire) and Iford Manor (gardens and opera).

Bath is 5 miles by car and there is a railway station in the village with a regular service to take you there in 9 minutes, as well as a good local bus and private mini-cab/mini-bus. The excellent village shop and cafe are open 7 days a week and there is an historic pub with fine dining and its own brewery, The Inn at Freshford. The ancient weaving town of Bradford on Avon is also nearby and its medieval buildings contrast Georgian Bath. Frome, Longleat, Glastonbury, Wells Cathedral City and Cheddar Gorge are interesting places to visit just south of Bath.
