'Barn End' occupies one end of 'The Barn', a Cotswold Stone Barn on
a former farm, now the home of Bob and Jenny Davis. The 300 year
old building was originally a stable barn for working horses.
The spacious cottage is set in wooded grounds close to the heart of
the charming conservation village of Biddestone, described as the
quintessential English village. It is situated on the SE limits of
the Cotswolds and it is this pale golden stone that makes the
buildings so warm and distinctive. The centre of the village boasts
gracious houses and cottages around a village green and duckpond.
There is an ancient church and two pubs both serving meals.
Access to Bath is very easy especially if you use the Lansdown Park
and Ride.
We are ideally placed for exploring the Cotswolds, Wiltshire Downs,
Mendips and Wales as well as delightful local villages and small
towns. Woods and fields in the nearby idyllic Bybrook valley
provide cool and gentle walks, whilst downland and Ridgeway walks are
within half-hour drive.
'Barn End' has a large farmhouse style living/dining/kitchen with a
gas Aga. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There is an enclosed
garden and private parking for 2-3 cars close to the cottage.
